In the large complex Universal Orlando Resort, there are several amusement parks with different themes, and one of them is “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”. In two parts of Universal Park, locations from the novels of Joanne Rowling have been recreated. Both parts are the representations of events, locations, experiences, and characters from the books. At the Universal Studios Florida part of the park, guests can take a stroll down Diagon Alley from the book. The park has the option to dine at the wizarding pub called The Leaky Cauldron and other locations with food and drinks. Additionally, guests can see how the wand selection process takes place at Ollivander’s store.
Another part of the park, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, offers visitors rides and guided tours of Hogwarts Castle. On the way, the visitors of the amusement park meet various magical creatures from the world of Harry Potter, including the Dementors, who cause genuine fear through sounds and close proximity. Along the sides of the aisle are drinks, food and small stalls selling souvenirs. The described parts of the park are connected by the Hogwarts Express train, which is a real transport, stylized as a description from the books and films about Harry Potter for the immersive experience (Waysdorf & Reijnders, 2018). Red and green colors prevail in the interior and clothing.
In conclusion, there are options for spending time, food, and entertainment. There is an opportunity to walk and look into unique locations, have fun on rides, buy souvenirs, or use other activities. Food and drinks from different outlets are an additional element of creating a magical world. Finally, characters from books and people dressed in Harry Potter symbolic clothing, including sweaters and scarves, support the engaging atmosphere.
