An Ethical Entity of Starbucks

Introduction

Business ethics is the term used to describe the moral standards upheld by businesses. It outlines appropriate conduct for the business’s strategies and decision-making. Starbucks operates the world’s biggest coffeehouse chain and is widely regarded as one of the most popular and well-known consumer brands worldwide. The purpose of ethics and compliance in Starbucks was to create an inclusive workplace culture for its employees, including initiatives that would provide the opportunity to discuss ideas with management.

Discussion

Starbucks makes deliberate attempts to be a responsible business and run its operations based on its ethical principles. Starbucks positioned itself as a business that engages in ethical business practices to provide customers with quality products and increase shareholder value. At this point, the corporation has made a point of being socially conscious, and they want its consumers to be aware of its progress.

Conclusion

The principal moral concerns addressed in Starbucks’ code of conduct for its partners may be categorized as partners’ dedication to delivering high-quality service to customers, the creation of a supportive workplace environment, and the focus on honesty and fairness in all transactions. The steps taken by the Starbucks organization to assure ethical behavior included establishing a program that would be used to guarantee that the ethical processes would be followed. To improve its ethical entity, Starbucks should conduct an ethical assessment of employees. Moreover, Starbucks may enhance ethics in the workplace by offering yearly ethics training sessions for all employees in addition to ethics guidelines. Additionally, Starbucks must improve its workplace ethics, which include individual rights and distributive justice, by rewarding ethical employees equitably and disciplining unethical ones through work objectives and performance reviews.
