Covid-19 Origin & Spread, Treatment and Prevention

Following the Covid-19 breakout in China and the improvement of the pandemic there, a continued and deteriorating epidemic began to spread outside of China. In 136 countries and regions, 142,539 cases had been recorded by March 14, 2020, based on a report from the World Health Organization (WHO, 2020). From a small town in the Chinese province of Hubei, the Covid-19 pandemic spread around the globe in a swift manner. Compared to agrarian cultures, the transmission of diseases is made easier in today’s industrialized world by commerce, urbanization, and more interaction.

The well-known pandemic expansion outside its origin was catastrophically prompt and far-reaching. Individuals with serious breathing illnesses visited local hospitals in Wuhan in December 2019 for an unidentified reason. The epidemic was reported by China to the WHO on December 31, 2019, and Huanan fresh fish stores were shuttered on January 1, 2020 (Hadi et al., 2020). The virus appears to have originated from seafood because samples collected from items and animals at the Huanan fish market were likewise infected. According to Hadi et al. (2020), approximately 11 million people live in Wuhan, where they were detained and subjected to entrance and leave regulations. This virus spread rapidly to several cities in the province of Hubei. In addition to China, more instances were reported on January 23 in Thailand, South Korea, and Japan (Hadi et al., 2020). The global dissemination of Covid-19 only took a few weeks after the initial occurrence in Thailand. The virus had expanded to South East Asia, Australia, Iran, the United States, and India by the end of January. Nearly all of the world’s main nations had indicated cases by the end of March.

Humanity has been tormented by disease and sickness from the beginning of time. However, it was not until there was a clear transition to agricultural societies that the scope and transmission of these illnesses grew significantly. In modern society, having bigger cities, more exotic trade networks, and increasing interaction with various human, animal, and ecological species, pandemics would spread more quickly as humans became more industrialized.
