A leadership strategy that can help create a buy-in the organization is democracy. An effective and successful organizational buy-in comprises voluntary collaboration since people need to support an idea. Thus, this means that democratic leadership will engage other organizational stakeholders before making the ultimate decision. Through this method of leadership, people can listen to many different ideas that will enhance an effective buy-in for the Metron Healthcare Organization. The main aspect determining the effectiveness of democratic leadership is open communication, where people actively participate by exchanging different ideas (Al Khajeh 4). Democratic leadership should be utilized in the Metron Healthcare Organization since it will enhance more creativity and innovation.
When people exchange their different ideas and perspectives, they will have diverse viewpoints, allowing for creative organizational operations. This leadership strategy should also be considered in the organization since it will improve the problem-solving skills among the stakeholders. When more minds work on a problem, the potential solutions increase, and the decisions may be reached earlier than expected (Al Khajeh 6). Although this strategy may be effective in one setting, it can be ineffective in another setting where another leadership style is required. At times, democratic leadership can be misused, especially when leaders need to make authoritative decisions.
Another leadership strategy that can be utilized while creating buy-in for the Metron Healthcare Organization is autocracy. Autocratic leadership centralizes power and decision-making processes (Al Khajeh 5). Although the employees engage in bringing in their ideas about the buy-in, it is the role of the leaders to make the ultimate decision. The leader has to take full authority and decide which ideas to incorporate in the organizational buy-in. This leadership method should be used since it will help in the overall communication. The employees will have proper communications strategies since their only goal is to exchange ideas and not make ultimate decisions (Al Khajeh 8). It is important to note that this strategy may be ineffective if used by authoritative leaders. Notably, this is because they might not render opportunities to exchange different ideas and perspectives.
